YES, we do use the term self-love now a days because it sounds sassy or stylish right? But do people actually practice it ? Nope...
Loving yourself is like "mothering" yourself and it does not happen in one day.
THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SELF-LOVE & SELFISHNESS IS :-
- Self-love is putting your needs before other's wants. Selfishness is vice versa
- Self-love is making healthy boundaries and sticking to what you know is best for you , whereas selfishness is taking advantage of the boundaries .
- Selfishness is thinking just about yourself , self-love , however is thinking about yourself and putting yourself first but also being a good human.
- Selfishness is loving yourself in a "toxic" way but self-love is nurturing yourself like your mother doesπ.
